A little more expensive than what I was hoping for and a little more expensive than what I can order online, but comes with 3 yr / 36K warranty.

ugh ... this guy better start moving the class along... Most classes are done around lunchtime, or shortly after. We've got 3 modules left. I need to leave by 3 to get home in time to pick up kids.

I was hoping to stay under $500.

It's sort of a preventative in a way. We don't have anything really heavy that we tow. The camper is about 1500 lbs. We have a 2003 Windstar that normally would be able to tow the camper, but it's got 200K on it and has never towed anything. I'm not about to take the risk on the tranny.

I see. You have the stock tranny cooler or updated one. If stock, I strongly strongly suggest getting a bigger one. The stock one is barely adequate for an escort. usually my trans is 80-100*F above the ambient air temps, which I have read is at the top end of allowable. Heat = killed tranny. I need to move the one from the 01 excursion to my truck and put the 6.0 that I bought into the excursion since that is the one we tow our camper with.

sad on the ct kid... super scary.

morning/afternoon fellas...

Took me 2 hours to swap out the radiator and put in a new fan. However, now Its not cooling... So I'm assuming I have a blockage somewhere. UGH. There was a lot of aluminum shavings in the pan that I caught the remaining amount coolant in.

Dave, Thoughts on a cooling system 'flush'?
