Chopped Expe???

I have seen it done with earlier Explorer's, but I always wondered if someone has ever chopped the roof of the rear cargo area off of an Expe before. I know Ford released a concept similar to what Im talking about some years back, but I've never seen anyone attempt this. And if someone were to attempt this(preferrably using a 2006 model), what issues should they look out for?

Some kid in Hawaii had did this several years back and was selling his. He basically cut the rear "bronco top" section off his and had not mounted a wall to create a bed. And, he installed a webasto soft top. I may go this way on my aging 98 EB Expy.

Here's what I have in mind for my future chopped Expy...

Could've saved yourself a lot of work and just bought a Suzuki Samurai, it looks just like one.

A while back on ebay I saw one done I believe by Chip Foose it was pretty neat looking but looked like somebody really used it as a truck.
