POWERBOOSTERS

I own a 2WD 1990 F-150 with a 5.0 engine .How do I know if the power booster is no good or if there is just air in the system. Can any one tell this soon to be junkyard dog what years are interchangeable for my truck.

OK the Brake "Power" Booster. How do I check to find out if it's good or needs to be replaced and what years and models are compatible.

To check it, with truck off pump the pedal till it gets hard and hold your foot on it. Then start your truck and if the pedal goes down a bit farther you should be good to go.
