Window channel tape
Installing new side glass in my 60. Do you have to use the special tape or can you silicone them in?

I would highly recommend the tape. I think they will pull free is just silicone is used. You can get the tape from any auto glass place.

When I worked for the auto glass shop we never used tape. Always used
3M Urethane and never had a complaint. You should be able to get it from any glass shop or auto parts store.

I only replaced my vents but I used some cork gasket material that I had and then put black silicone over that for color and to keep the water out of the cracks. They have been in there for a year on a bumpy road!
