you in auburn wa?

so do you have any water in oil or oil in water? or are you just guessing that becuase the smoke just so happens to be white? the lift pump or injection pump can cause the fuel to get in the oil...and the white smoke could be a few things....does it run rough when started or at all?

Even if it is a blow head gasket, no need for a rebuilt, just pull the heads off, replace gasket, and away you go!

But x2, we need more info!

That could be 2 things, bad seal in the IP, or the diaphragm in the mechanical lift pump went bad.

dirty diesel we guessed it was diesel because the oil was black and at 10 quarts and not holding more. but it was milky and i drove it another week and lastnight ive noticed it was blowing white exhaust everywhere. the more fuel delivered to the cylinders the worse it was blowing the white smoke.

IP = Injector Pump. Those can leak fuel into the crankcase to is the seal goes bad (witch is pretty rare) but can happen.

either the ip needs replaced or the rings are wearing down i have 273,000 on it and only had to replace the radiator and water pump. i just noticed a slight milkyness in the oil was guessing diesel because oil was pure black not brown

If your oil is milky at all, it is coolant. Diesel fuel in the oil would only raise the oil level and thin it out, plus smell a little like diesel fuel. If that were the case, the only possible smoke it would cause would be grey or black and that is assuming it is too full and being sucked through the CDR or past the rings.

What does the exhaust smell like? If it has a hint of a sweet smell, it is burning coolant. There are several issues that can cause coolant to enter the cylinders, so we need to know more, first.

I havent smelled the exhaust. When it starts it puffs white and has a small white vapor when idling. Heard it was head gaskets so i decrieded to replace them to see if it solves tje problem
