grill question
Hey guys so i heard a lot of people putting the 05 grills on 99s to 04s. I was wondering about the 08 grills on a 99? possible with the cutting mods or what? If anyone has done this i would love to see some pics

HASBROUCK did a 2003 to 2011 front-end conversion (see link below) that will give you an idea of the work required to convert to the 2008-2010 front-end conversion.

i dont think the 08+ grilles will be able to fit unless you take the center part of the 99 grille out and cut an insert out of the 08+ ones because i believe the 08+ ones are wider and taller also they mount to the hood not the header panel so there are no clips to hold it in place it would require alot of modifications i think. one thing i saw that looked pretty cool was the f150 Raptor grille cut to fit as an insert with the 99-04 grilles.

yeah i guess ill just keep looking for a chrome 05 grille. The only reason I asked was because I got offered an 08 grille for like 50 bucks brand new from a friend but it doesnt sound like its worth the time or trouble

I would do that but like i said I know the guy thats selling it to me thats why its only 50 bucks so I dont think he would like it to much if i didnt put it on my truck and just sold it for twice the price i bought it haha
