Carburetor help

Picked up a 1985 f150 for my kid. Truck was sitting for at least 6yrs. Dropped the tank and cleaned it out, new sender, new pump, new fuel filter, rebuilt the carb, new battery, & a set of tires. Truck runs great, 4.9l with carter 1v & 4 speed. I'll admit I'm not the greatest at carburetors, I work on newer cars all day at a Lincoln dealership, once it's warmed up it stall every time I stop. If I unplug ECT it runs fine, but I don't think I can get it through emissions like that. All the driveability guys here are post carb days and have no idea either.

Sounds like the computer is having issues when the engine gets warm (perhaps with the water temperature sensor), I would pull codes to check.

Unplugging ECT should default computer to cold engine strategy, it runs fine when it's cold, that's why I tried with ECT unplugged.

I would still be asking the computer what it thinks is happening, it shouldn't need to run rich all the time.
