Possible rebuilt engine?

Im wondering if a smog test could indicate a new/rebuilt engine. I took the ford for a smog test, and it did even better than my saturn. The 98 ford f150 only has 136k miles. But it runs like it was new. Does anyone usually have good smog readings on the f150 4.6L engine?

If it only has 136K on it, it is like new.

No need to rebuild a 4.6 to keep it tight at 136k miles. I've heard of people pulling the heads at 200k miles and still seeing crosshatch patterns on the cylinder walls. Take good care of a 4.6 and it will stay tight for 200, 300, 400k miles. Really.

The old days of engines getting tired at 100k miles are long gone; they are machined with really tight tolerances, sealed with excellent gaskets and silicone materials, and they just keep running.
