He begged me to do this. He loves it. We spend a lot of time at the track so he's all about big burnouts and going fast. And hes only 4. We were pulling out of my parents house so I figured why not. We have all done it right there. My moms chrysler 300 srt & 2010 camaro ss, my sisters 2011 camaro ss & jr dragsters, my brothers trucks. We all have a little fun once in while.
I didn't rely on the spin control. I locked the rear and started to spin the tires. Once they picked up a little speed I unlocked the rear and they went up in smoke quick. With the rear end locked it will only let the tires spin until about 30mph.
Yeah the biggest thing I disliked about my 09. I'm so glad the made it available. And it's all because guy like us talk about this stuff on the forums.
Which engine? Nice set of black marks btw. I have the 5.0 and have tried this only a couple of times. From a dead stop it spins about 4feet and hooks up. Tried it against the brake and it spun through second gear.
I have the 5.0 also. Those marks keep going down to the road that's in the picture on the right past the driveways. You just can't see it in the picture. Pretty long. 60-70 ft maybe. I tapped it to 2nd about 3/4 of the way through it and it kept spinning. He had the biggest smile on his face. This new 5.0 really puts the power down.
