If you want you can use the same mounting gasket as long as there are no gouges or tears in the rubber. My truck had 175k miles on that gasket when I did the SD HPOP and the gasket looked brand new. Definitely do the IPR O rings though.
I can't wait to start doing some substantial mods to my truck. Never modded one before, other than the basics, intake, exhaust, EBPV delete.......etc. Just the easy stuff. The truck I just bought was bone stock except for a K&N filter. I've already got rid of that and a 6637 in it's place. Good luck with your HPOP!
Thanks guys as far as I know my gasket has 275k, ill just feel alot better knowing its all fresh. The 500 came with the JIC fittings already on. I just wanted to go with the 500 cause i plan on chip and stage ones down the road.
I just ordered a T500 from Riffraff. Want to add more mods down the road also. Is there any need to replace the IPR with this HPOP? Or is the old one just fine?
Plus you mentioned the HPOP doesn't come with the IPR O ring. Any particular place to get it?
I too wondered about replacing the ipr but i dont have the cash. I will be calling Ford in the morning about gasket and oring's. Ill let ya know what i find out.
I had a shop do my water pump last week so I asked them if they could put my t500 in while they were doing that. Truck runs great mostly above the 2200 rpm range. with the old pump I had problems keeping it above that range.
The only bummer was they put a brand new IPR on, they said you should do that. I know better but I figure it would be good to have the old one for a spare.....They thew it away saying you can't rebuild it. UGGGG

I've been check IPR prices. One parts store had 3 to choose from, priced from $170 to $270 depending on manufacturer. The $270 one has a $67.50 core charge on it. That makes me think they can be rebuilt.
You keep the old fittings. New IPR is up to you, if your old one is working fine then use it. As far as that guy throwing yours in the trash I would tell him to go dumpster diving! My spare IPR saved my *** on the highway once when my so called good one stuck.
I've heard it both ways, I think the key word here is a good cleaning. I once bought a used one from dieselsite for $50 and it lasted maybe a couple of thousand miles, I bought a new one from Joey before I got my T500 and transfered it over. I have two spares in my tool box, the one that stuck and another old one. I was so happy I got it running I threw the stuck one in with the old one in my tool box and didn't mark them
I just bought a new ipr from the dealer... Lisr price. $270.00... He sold it tk me for $200.00 plus tax.. Most parts guys will give discounts if you talk to em right.
