460 Stalling Question
460 Stalling Question
Howdy Folks, I have 73 460 in a crew cab, and it definately well worn but it runs good, is really stout, and doesn't use a whole lot of oil.
It has a demon carburetor, and other than that it is completely stock.
The problem is this, when I drive it 60% of the time the motor works great, however after I've been driving it for a while sometimes the engine will stall under a load. It acts like its not getting gas, but if I throw the tranny in neutral and rev it, it will rev up, and if I stop on the side of the road it idles fine, and the fuel pressure gauge (under the hood) reads as it should around 4-5 PSI. Then I'll take back off in it and sometimes it will go 15 minutes before it starts acting up again.
So do ya'll have any thoughts?
