I'm building a 82 351 w to install in my 91 f150 supercab 4x4, its repalcing the 302. I plan on installing a Baumannator TCS puter so I can use the current E4OD tranny. But I was told that the GT-40-P heads I planned to install are NLA, I'd like the run about 9.5 - 1 compression. I've been told that I can use Mustang 5.0 heads form 87- 95, and these will give me close too that ratio, can I do this and does it mean any other mods will be necessary? The casting # of the suggested heads are E7TE. I'm installing Speed Pro Hyperutecitc flat top pistons # FED-H273P, CMP-352383 Comp Xtreme Energy 351W Hydraulic cam, CRN-C35 Crane lifters, Ford Racing 9 position roller timing chain, Ford Racing hardened pushrods, Edelbrock Performer manifold #EDL-2181, Elelbrock carb #EDL-9906 with vac secondary, Crane roller rockers # CRN-4474616. Can I use the MAC shorty headers I already have installed on the 302? or do I need to go to 351W heads? And another style header? I'm pulling a travel trailer with this truck and I want good torque and reasonable mileage, when I'm not pulling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
