My New Peragon Cover

As I said last night, I got my truck back yesterday from having the roof repainted and we put the bed cover on in about 2 1/2 hours. Everything went pretty well aside from having to remove washers a couple of times to get it adjusted correctly. I ordered the lock that works on both sides, as well as stainless hardware and the tailgate seal. It looks like it seals really well at the tailgate already so I am going to wait on the seal until it rains and see if I need to install it. Looks quite nice on my truck.

Well done bro, nice job. The tailgate seal works great. My only complaint is in the winter it freezes to the tailgate and I can't get the tailgate open.

Off subject..but PB Blaster's dry lube (spray) works really well for keeping weatherstripping and seals from freezing and sticking. I apply it to the door seals and tailgate....with a sponge. It dries white...found out that the hard way.

Btw...that cover looks great!

Looks good. I can't wait for the tax return to come back this year so I can get one...I so need one.

I was going to ask if you could put something on it to stop it from freezing. That will be a huge issue for me this winter...when I finally own one and it is installed that is.

Congrats, looks fantastic! Would something like no-stick cooking spray prevent the freezing issue?

That'll attract dirt and dust and be greasy. Also its oil based and will likely damaged the seals over time.

Sounds reasonable. I remember it being suggested to keep bugs from sticking to the front of a vehicle, but I never used it.

Vasoline on the seals....wipe it on thin and rub it till it seems to be all gone or Silicone dry lube spray.

Looks great but what is it about the new bed cover that takes 2 1/2 hours to install?

It comes in two boxes. One has the cover itself folded along with a box containing all the hardware. (5 or 6 bags of bolts, nuts, screws). The box containing the 3 pieces for the frame. There is quite a bit of assembling aside from just slapping in on and being finished. I think there are some videos around here of the process or at least photos of one being assembled and installed.

And to add to your great post, I really like the way the items are packaged. Great care is taken to ensure that all items are there, accounted for by an employee and then laid out in a thoughtful manner so as not to get mixed up with other stuff. This clearly a high quality American made product.
