Check out the "Stock headlight upgrade" in the tips thread. I installed the wiring harness to take the load off the switch and new Sylvania Xtravision bulbs in my '95. Not a lot of $ nor time to do so.The improvement was great. I highly recommend the upgrade. Adjusting the headlights also helped immensely. Waiting for decent weather to do the Sylvania lens restoration to complete the fix.

I converted my '93 back to glass headlamps. When my plastic '97's get too bad, I may do that retro conversion again.

xlt4wd90: you might try an adhesive sold at Autozone which claims 3,500 lbs. of holding power. Made in Florida. It is called: Plastic Welder by VersaChem.

vwhed1979: yes I see the end result is very decent, my concern was the inside of the lens, in the sense it may be stained too with a cloudy film.

I converted my 87 Mustang headlights to E4 spec 200mm lights a long time ago:

No more foggy lenses, and much better illumination.

my '86 Aerostar had glass lamps just like those adapted to the Mustang, but they were smaller requiring a larger bezel-surround. Then came the 1990's and plastic took over!

The early ('86-91) headlight surround bolts to the later Aeros. I've done it on my '93.
