2003 F250, came in on the "hook" with oil pouring out the CCV mod hose back at the cross-member. Doesn't appear to have excessive crankcase pressure, runs smooth, no smoke. Figured CCV filter was at fault. The local FORD dealer kept insisting on sending me the external mounted filter, I need the internal mounted filter. Finally got the correct one, put it in and started truck. Ran great for about 10 minutes, no more oil puking. Great! That fixed it. Then, out of the blue the engine went into over-speed (that's what we called it when one of our generators did that when I was in the Marine Corps). Ran to truck, yanked keys and walked away. Didn't think this was possible on these trucks. First for me. Now It has codes for injectors #1 and #2 which explains the skipping. What could've/would've caused this truck to do that?
Sounds like its self fueling. Either with oil or diesel this is scary. Just take it slow, I would check and replace all injectors o rings. Check oil level to insure its not making oil.
Topped off oil before trying to start. Everything else looked fine. Just wondering if it might have blown the tip of an injector off causing it to overfuel? Kind of at a loss right now. Don't know what to do.
