1974 mustang II...4 cylinders of rompin stompin power, baby!! Now I wish I would have kept it,would have been an awesome car with 351w swapped in!! I have owned mostly fords since then.
My first car was a 1961 VW Type 1....Beetle Deluxe. 1200 cc, 72 mph, 40 mpg, no gas gauge...but a reserve tank lever under the dash.
First Ford was a '60's Meteor (Canadian Ford / Mercury...depending on the year)...2 dr. HT, 144 cube inline six, 2 speed automatic....good looking car...but I wished mine had come with the available 260 V8 and 4 speed std.
Wonder how many Americans are familiar with the Canadian market only Meteors of yore ?
Also about that time... my family bought their first pickup...new..a 1968...Canadian market only.... Mercury M 250 with a 3 on the tree and the 300 cube inline six.

how about the Mercury Frontenac? another car no one knows about.
i had a 68 M-250 4X4 pickup. really mice truck
paid $100 for it, and was offered $1,500 3 weeks later.
i should have kept it, but i really did not have the room for everything i had back then.

Yes...I remember the Frontenacs....your '68 M 250, like ours would of been the last year of the Mercury truck...the Mercury truck line was shut down in March 1968.
My sisters 77 firebird. Ranks up there with one of the most gutless cars I have ever owned. It had a 3.8 Buick V6 and I took it down the longest steepest hill (about 1/4 mile) and floored it to see how fast it would go and it maybe made it to 70mph. Only slower car was a Renault Encore my dad had, couldn't tell a differece between 1/4 throttle and full.
