Any Ideas

I need to swap out my engine , problem Im having is finding a place to do this that isnt incompetent . the shop its at right now had my truck for almost a month and they now say it wont be done till next week, I just told them to forget about it and im commng to get my truck tommrow . It still runs but the engine is worn and tired . SO Im asking the members on here if they know of anyone or shop that is reasonable and competent to do this work. I dont have alot of money to make this happen I live on a fixed income from the VA. Im located in Delaware county NY and probley could drive it to where it needs to go. this is my only transportation and I need to get it fixed asap .SO if anyone can help me out in the surrounding area .thanks

do you know that you need a new motor?
a good shop should be able to pull a motor and put a new one in an a day.
if i can pull them in 6 hours.

ya it needs a new motor trust me ......it worn and very tired .. Ya well this shop lied to me about knowing what they were doing . last week they tried telling me the cab had to come off.... I was umm no it dosnt.. then they tried telling me it takes dabout a week to swap the engine .come on it cant be any easier i got a complete engine to swap in. YA i know if i cant get help I might be stuck trying to do this in my driveway here . I have a 2 ton host and all the tool needed , Just didnt want to get involved in it . But looks like i might have to .

Okay so Im pulling the engine myself the next question I have can it be pulled without taking the whole front end apart ??

no you gotta pull the grill, bumper,header panel , core supt,lights , rad , ac cond ,intercooler, you can leave the fenders you could probibbly leave hood but i would remove it for more room but this is very easy and quick stuff to pull.
