Question

Stuck Valve Cover

I'm taking apart some stuff on my 351M off of my 77 to sandblast and powdercoat them, i'll post pics later, and the valve cover will not come off, any tips on getting it off? i don't want to hammer on it and dent it up. its probably never been off.

Do you have a rubber mallet? Some light taps should break it free without damage.

There are cutouts around the outside of the valve cover for the gaskets locating tabs. You can get a screw driver in one of the cutouts and it won't damage it.
