I'm searching for something like this... see picture 1
I've found pike nuts (picture 2) but they are a little too pointy
I'll bet this is a one-off turned piece...but maybe one of you might source it
for me. It needs to be stainless if possible..chrome if not and not protrude more than 1-1.5"... diameter is not that important as long as it's proportional..
It's gonna do what picture #1 is doing

all right Sam.... where are they ?
thanks
John
sorry for the delay.. will look more
| edit - you could also use the stock hood latch pin.. even in chrome.. MF page 102 - 2013-CH
I don't think the screw that holds the bullet/threads will be strong enough the support the impacts of the hood
Sam
hmmm... hopefully 'impact' is too strong a word... actuators set the hood down gently and the bullet should line up with the grommet in the lower section.. the bullet is just a 'guide pin' I hope... is that part plastic or chromed metal
if'n I had a lathe and knew how to use it... I'd make me some... I'm looking at the chrome hood pins at mid-50 per Sam's suggestion... I gonna worry this till an answer appears...

well, driving down the road there are all kinds of wiggles and flexes tht will go on.. I bet there is a bump or two that will add some stresses here & there..
