Ford has offered a Cng system. Believe for bigger engines though. All in all you will probably be disapointed with the performance especially in cold weather climate. LPG would be a better option as availability of LPG is much higher. Again you loose some performance and you have to haul the big tank around if you want any range on the truck. Think of the space for the tool box taken up by the tank. Just Google search for Sellers. Don't believe there is much for CNG though. CNG is really best for big motor/big busses. You can also have some trouble with emissions. My opinion. LOL
we dont have any real cold here, LPG would be good tho, i have a 26 gal tank and was thinking that 10 gallons of LPG woud add some nice ange and help keep the engine cleaner inside. i can get an Alt Fuel plate here in AZ and shold pay less for tags
A couple of Gerry cans would be just as good and only $30 each. You will never recoup the cost of the instal. Propane really always needed crome rings and hardened valves. The timing changes to burn the stuff. You will make your truck a whole lot more complicated and will be disapointed with the performance. The novelty will soon wear off as you loose fuel mileage too. The propane burns cleaner and is a dry fuel which helps gum up intake valves. Tit for Tat. Usually you can run a motor having less wear with propane. Still you have to drive it many years to see it. A new flex fuel would be just as good. Just me. LOL
I've driven company trucks that were LPG and one that was CNG. I don't care how much you think you're going to save the first time you go up a steep hill with a load you better not have the kids with you or they are going to learn words you don't want them to know until they are grown!!!!
