Getting ready to lift the truck and put new wheels on.
Any brand suggestions? Or brands to stay away from. I just want a good quality wheel that I won't have to worry about issues in a year or so.
Looking at the black/chrome. I have liked the designs of Ultra, Eagle and KDS.
What is your budget for these wheels? What size and width are you wanting? You mentioned black/chrome... are you wanting the combination of black/chrome or just black or just chrome?
18x9...would like to keep budget under $200....would go with 20, but I think that's more than I care to spend.
Black & Chrome is probably the way I'll go. I mainly want to know of a good quality company, not necessarily the style. Heard too often of Chrome pitting, or other issues that I would like to avoid.
I like the Ultra Goliath and some of the Eagle & Helo...just don't know if these are quality products.
90% of the aftermarket wheels are manufactured in China. The quality of these wheels has greatly increased over the last decade. Check the warrantee on any wheel you are considering to purchase.
I see that you live in FL. At least you do not have to consider road salts and their effect on the wheel finish.
You may want to post your questions in this FTE forum:
But they were a PITA to keep clean with all the small nooks. Plus 20's are SOOO expensive for a decent tire. ($480-650 per tire)
I just downgraded size to 17's to these made by MB wheels from Americas Tire Stores
The tires are cheaper to replace down the road ($300-450 per) and I have a greater selection too.
The ride on the 17's is smoother and the tires give me less road noise as well with the BFG AT's then the Super Swampers I had on there.

I like those on the second pic. They resemble the ones I have now just different offset and width!
Check out KMC XD series, Dick Cepek wheels they both have lifetime warranty.
I have learned that our Super Duty factory wheels are Hub-centric and most after market wheels are Lug-centric.
Make sure that the load capacity is at least 2500LBS per wheel.

Thanks for all the replies..good info.
Glad you mentioned the Cepek wheels...I saw some I liked but never heard of that brand. I am trying to find wheels with 0 offset.

One thing to keep in mind is the size tire you are going after as well - if you are going 1 size up you will probably be fine with a wheel that has the same back spacing and/or off set as your stock wheels, and if that is the case you will have lots of quality wheels to choose from, but if you are going multiple sizes up you will want to make sure that you do not rub when turning (usually as something close to full lock of the steering wheel), wheels with off set or additional back spacing may be needed depending on the tire size. You also have to pay attention to the width of the wheel to ensure that and that the width of the wheel is sufficient to handle the tire size. If that is the case your selction of wheels is somewhat smaller.
