Tap on it with a hammer while trying to turn it. Sometimes that will break it loose.

odd... ive never had a vehicle with this issue. any time i've done anything with the alternators, everything just comes right apart. 76 F100, 84 F250, 91 F250, 93 explorer. see if you can loosen it a bit, then tap the alternator back and forth down the length of the bolt.

A heat gun will not apply enough heat, you need to go to mapp gas at a minimum. Sometimes when it is hot you can get motion, and once you have motion, you are home free.
