Question

alternator

my alternator went out tonight, i know there was a reg one and an upgraded alternator that put out more. Is there any way to tell which one is which? and if i do have the regular alternator, can i buy the upgraded one and bolt and plug it in without any conversions or mods?

I'm not sure how to tell you how to identify your old alternator unless it's tagged with the amp. output or by part #. You should be able to upgrade as a direct bolt in with no problem.
