rear end ID

I have a 2000 F-150 with a 9" 3:08 rear end ID tag S824D. Found one at a salvage yard with ID S824A. Is there any difference between the two and will they swap out easily.

If the tag on the axle says 3.08 then you should be fine.

Swapped it out today. Apparently the lug studs on the A model are a 12mm thread while the D has larger studs (probably 14mm).
