Door handles options and Shaved door inquires

I have been going back and forward on handles and door poppers.

Before I went and shaved my handles I wanted to see if anyone has done this and have any pointers on actuator locations on the doors???????????

I also found some 32-34 Ford Coup handles with built in locks I read somewhere can be used on our trucks. For the life of me I cant find the post I saw it in.

Has anyone used the handles below or similar locking ones?

Has anyone shaved their door handles on the 47's? I found the altman kit pretty cheap for the latches.

Door handles

Hello there, yes I used '34 sedan door handles on my truck, I wanted key lockable and retain the 'old style look'. The '34 sedan door handle mount bolt holes are a little closer together than the stock truck ones and from memory I had to enlarge the hole for the handle to fit into to 7/8'' 'Vintique' is the brand I used.
Here's a couple of pics,
Steve.

Those handles look great. Might have to look into a set for my '46.

Awesome that is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Steve!!!!

Also are you referring to enlarging the mounting holes or the input shaft?

Also what did you do for the inside handles?

re door handles.

Hey mate, yes the input shaft hole had to be enlarged. For the inside handles I have Mack Superliner ones, I worked for Mack for 20 or so years and thought they looked pretty good. These handles suit the Mack western trim which is buttoned vinyl. I plan to have a black buttoned vinyl interior.
Here are the Mack part numbers: door handle 55QS29309A
window winder 55QS29310
Here's what they look like and the truck they suit.
Regards, Steve.
