Exclamation problem, stalling badly. need quick help.

I'm on the road at the moment... help.

My 2005 E350 with the V10 is stalling anytime I go from Drive to Reverse or Drive to Park.

I'm thinking it's a vacuum problem but no CEL and no codes at the moment!
I do occasionally get P1071 & 1074 And I think they are related, but not right now.

I know this is a van, but with the V10 and not many other vanners have the beast under the hood...

So I pulled of the engine cover (dog house) and took a peak to find a hose coming from the back of the intake manifold to a T and the hose with quick clips on both ends was very dry rotted and falling apart in my hand, literally.
The hose had PN, Shown below. Do you think this could be the root of my problems?

I gotta get running ASAP, thanks for your help.

Btw I'm going to replace the hose today, but wanted to hear some thoughts on the stalling issues.

I have the 99 v-10 f-250 and just replaced my pcv 90 under the throttle body due to the same issues as you describe. Even down to the codes. Sounds like vacuum leak to me.

Can't find that part number anywhere. Not even on FordParts.com. I wonder if it is the hose that goes into the back of the IAC? That would explain the stalling.

Your PCV valve should look like this:

Should be located on top of one of the valve covers I believe. Part # EV279

Have you tried driving with two feet. If you keep your idle up "a little" will it stay running?

I'll have the PCV and that hose tomorrow...HOPEFULLY this will solve the stalling. Since I had messed with that hose earlier today it's been running ruff.

Can't wait til she's all better.
I even have an appt with the local small shop to inspect the front end. I suspect there is a ball joint going bad. But that's another story.

I'll report back after I get some work done tomorrow.
thanks all for the help

I got the hose and the PCV installed last night...

It did help a little, But I bumped up the idle with the SCT from Mike (5Star) and it's all good.

Did I do the right thing by raising the idle?

the day has gone by without a single stall, hesitation or problem. I guess the parts worked.
