follow up to my last post. on the 88 BII with BW1350 electric shift transfer case. I removed the T-case and have split the case and removed the shaft. now I just need to find out the specific part number so I can go to searching. it's the main shaft that drives the rear driveline. it snapped off the threaded portion that holds the driveline flange on. does anyone know what the part number is or can point me to a parts diagram?
Page 205-207. I have a 1350 manual I need to tear down for a couple other projects but I'm layed up for a while or I'd just send the shaft to you for shipping. Might be a while before I can get someone to tear it down for me.
Thanks for the info Jack. I'm guessing that the rear output shaft is the same in manual or electric? I appreciate your offer. I'm gonna check a local place tomorrow to see if they have one and I'll also check the sites you listed. My grandson will be very happy. Just installed a 4" lift and I don't think there was enough give in the drive line. Just snapped the threaded part off the tail of the shaft.
Illustration #81 shows just one midwest part #1354171003 for the output shaft-rear for the 1350.
Talked with my son. We might need the output shaft for a 1354 we have with a broken rear case. He said he would not be able to check till wednesday. Depends on what version 1354 we have and if the output shaft on it was damaged when the case was broken. There are 3 different #'s listed for the 1354 and one is the same as the 1350 listed above. If we can't use it I'll ask him what he wants to pull it.
Happy Jack, thanks to you I checked the parts site and found a whole TC here locally for $75. It's minus the shift motor but, we've got that and still get to keep the old one for parts(hopefully we won't need).
Thanks again for your help. I've learned alot about these units.
