headlight wiring harness

Has anyone tried the 9004 headlight wiring harness with relays off E BAY,if so what gauge wire is it,is it plug and play, is it worth it?

I wouldn't even bother with buying the harness off of eBay....

I made my own using 14g wire and def worth it! Lights are much brighter.

But I had to remove my daytime running light module (Canadian truck) the highbeams relay was freaking out lol

Sorry,i didnt even think about LMC, was there a big difference in the brightness, what gauge is it?

hate to jack a thread but midnite what exactly did you do. ive been told to try this before but didnt know how. any help is greatly appreciated

i followed this writeup. except i used #12 gauge wire not 14

when you get the relays make sure they are the ones with 2 #87 terminals and NOT the ones with 87 and 87a

the one with 2 #87 - both 87 get power at same time when relay is energized
one with 87 and 87a - one is on and the other is off. when relay is energized they switch.

i think it was worth it. but as mentioned above it you have daytime running lights youll have to unplug the module.

the daytime running lights are just the high beams on half voltage... well the half voltage isnt enough to switch the relay so the relay just freraks out clicking on and of rapidly

ya i dont have that on my truck. is that a canada thing. when did they start doing that
