Pro Comp or Fabtech for 2wd 6.0 X?

I have a 2003 2wd 6.0 X and I've seen a few threads about 5 years ago comparing lift options but I havent seen any recent reviews..Having a 2wd I only have two options that I know of and Im curious who seems to stand on top with proper geometry design, product, ride comfort, customer support etc.

Im keeping the stock 16x8 wheels and was going with 315/70/16 (35).

I appreciate your feedback. Pictures would be a plus!!

Heres a couple pics of it from last month.

I like those wheels better than stock.

I was under the impression all 03 X were 7.3 and 04 6.0, the changeover being a year later than the trucks. Guess I am wrong.

I have the Pro Comp lift for over 120K miles now. No problems with the lift, it was difficult to find somebody who knew how to align it though.

I do not know how to post a pic

Another vote for PROcomp, been running mine since August of 2007 and it was one of the best things I ever did to my truck.

-Fabtech has two different kits whereas Procomp has one. You need the K4130BMX kit and nothing else. This kit lncludes the full leaf spring pack for the rear as opposed to the superdity kit which only includes an add-a-leaf and block.

-You will also need to purchase the pitman arm seperately.

-DO NOT buy anything from 4wheelonline.com no matter what. They have THE WORST customer service, are terribly disorganized, and lie to their customers.

-You will need to find an alignment specialty shop to align the truck after as most run in the mill shops don't have the neccessary caster and camber kit to align the truck after.

-On the stock factory mags, you'll need to run 315/75/16 tires which equate to 35s. I run BFG All-Terrains and they have yet to let me down. They're also popular and easy to find if you ever need a replacement.

-If you plan on regearing for towing, fuel economy, and power you'll need to regear to 4.10 to compensate.

Thanks for the great info.. I noticed they come with the pitman arm like Fabtech now.. They must have heard you

Fabtech has a rear leaf hanger/block combo which I dont like but they do come with the alignment cams so your not driving sideways to the alignment shop.

Pro Comp seems to be the favored kit among most enthusiasts tho.

I had a Fabtech on a 2001 for around 100,00 miles and 3 years and no problems. Rode great for a 6 inch lift.

There are two pitman arms:

One meant for early 2000 model trucks, the other meant for the 2001 and on.

I had the procomp on my 02 F350 2wd and loved it. Had an issue with 1 radius arm bracket being bent right out of the box but tehy send me a new one + a shirt and hat. 1 thing to watch when you get wider tires on a stock rim you WILL rub your stock radius arm at full lock both ways. 1 Fabtech lift replaces the radius arm.

That thing is soo nice, I'd consider a 2wd if it looked like that

What brand of rear taillights, and third brake light are those? are they LED?
