Maybe a dumb question but, Why are there 4 to a set? When there are only 2 Pivot shafts.
All the catalogs say 4 per set So does the ford parts manual.
In Part B, section 175, page 2 shows in the illustration one gasket (17A475). but in part A, Section 170, page 7, 17A475 for a F150 is D3TZ-17A475-A has a qty 4.
Are they simply doubled up?
Or does one go on each side off the sheet metal?
Or is the books Wrong?
Just a guess on my part, I'd say typo. It shows 4 for the "F's" but right below, same gasket, shows 2 for the Econoline.
When I tore the Pumpkin down there were only two gaskets, one under each pivot and it had never been torn down that far before.
