Stupid Intake Manifold
So around Christmas this past year we had the dreaded cracked intake manifold. After 300.00 or so we got it put back together and all was good. Yesterday we went to the MIL's house and get out and it is gushing coolant. I thought it was the intake manifold again. Luckily it wasn't it was some stupid rubber cap that blocks off an un-used bung on the IM. Just thought I would post this to let everyone know to check that bung occasionally if you have replaced your IM with the Dorman (bad word) replacement manifold. It cost me a total of 50 bucks 5.00 for a new rubber cap (had to buy an assortment) and 45.00 for a new #8 coil that got sprayed with the coolant and gave up.
