New front bumper (pics)
Finally managed to swap out my front bumper. The original was pretty trashed and had brackets welded on to help get it home (which also doubled in destroying you when you worked under the hood and forgot they where there).
The new one I traded for with Kevin (bigwin56f100), though it took me forever, lol. Thanks again on the trade.
Old verse new:

Looks way better on the truck, so much cleaner:

I think though I will have to do a little frame work when I finally get to taking everything apart. The drivers side is a little bent up, not a huge problem but I need to use heat to fix it and don't want to destroy the panel next to it.

And I'm thinking the hit that did that might have messed up the alignment of the frame. I've been questioning it a little bit, I had thought it was just the old bumper but the new one sits the same way, it's an inch closer on the drivers side than the passenger. I'll have to check out the fenders as I know the passenger one is caved in a little and the drivers side one has problems too, but I don't know if they are enough to make this big of a difference.

I would think the frame being messed at the end would effect it's height to the ground more than "in and out" as the holes lined up, but maybe it's enough to pull it in too far. Guess we'll have to wait and see to when I can really get building, for now I'm just going to enjoy not destroying my back on those brackets... and getting to work on a rear bumper

I figure the frame will need adjusting for certain, I didn't think so at first as it's subtle, but when I put the bed on I could tell it was kinked. I'm sure it's got to have diamonded considering what it did to the front bumper and the part of the frame it connects to, bending that much steel isn't easy to do, but I bet it was when it had 6000#s on the back of it, lol.
I'll have to fix it when I get to finally really build this. Right now I'm doing a decent amount of mock-up as I wait.
