Adding A Subwoofer?

I have an 06 crewcab and was pondering the task of adding maybe an 8' sub. i just don't no where to put it without removing anything. I do have the fold utility trays in the back and 60/40 bench, and captains up front.

Are those trays behind the seat or under it? ive got an extended cab so i literally no space behind my rear seat so i put two 10" shallow mount subwoofers under the back seat the pictures are below. my subs stick out roughly an inch or two but your under seat would have no problem fitting these because its longer. also they do sell boxes made to fit behind your backrest or you could build one its all personal preference really.

hmmm..what about under the front seats, you could mount the amp under the console and then build a small box for under the seat to house the subwoofer.

possibly, are you only doing one 8" woofer? also do you have the flip up seat in the middle? if your doing one i would say moun tit in the middle of the two seats if your thinking possibly two then i would go under both front seats, i dont think the amp for an 8" subwoofer is that big so there shouldnt be an issue trying to find a place for it.

Nope I don't have the flip down in the front ,I have the buckets and a huge center console, about the size of a small fridge. I could locate the amp in the back behind the rear seats and just run the cables. The center console is a little low any how. So raising it to accommodate a sub is not a bad thing.

Right, do you have the 2008 console or the regular 99-07 floor console or is it a custom one? al long as you can get the proper amount of airspace inside the box you will be alset with whatever you end up doing.

I have this under my drivers seat and I love it!

Sound Ordnance™ B-8PT 120-watt compact powered subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

Not sure how it will fit in other models though, I had manual seats and I had to unbolt the seat track adjuster bar to get it to fit under there, so my drivers seat is locked into place, but its ok as I dont plan on moving it around..

I put a 10in L7 between my front captain chairs, only way to really get a good bass without paying 600 bucks for a stealth box. All i did was take the center console out and i found a premade box that fits nice and snug between the front seats, looks pretty good too

My amp is behind the rear seats and i ran the wires through the ducts by the doors and the speaker wire for the sub right under the carpet, came out good without any wires visible
