Before they can do all the pricing stuff, they have to make sure the ones they think fit actually do. I do know the base price was $400-450 like Justin said. That is what they also told me too. That is a decent price in itself so a group rate will make it even more affordable...

Less parasitic drag due to being roller type and also being lighter weight too which will make more horsepower. Thay also probably wear better than stock too. There is a reason hot rodders put um on their gas engines.

You're not going to get noticeable power increase from just the less drag IMO.

However, it will stop side loading the guides, so they will last longer. It will stop breaking the tips of the valves like the stockers do, and they will oil the top end better.

As for power increase, its going to allow for more lift. My turbo cam is as big as you can get on a regrind, so I'm going to go from the stock 1.5 ratio up to a 1.6 ratio.

well with the low rpms of the diesel, and stock cam id never worry about the stock 7.3l rockers.we have no issues to speak of of course.
however i went with higher ratio rockers when i swapped cams for a gas engine back in the day.i know there's a benefit there.
those running stock cams, could probably find better uses for the $,wouldn't you say too or?

Its just my speculation but I think with how much you milled your pistons you will be good as far as lift goes. Do you think that a stock compression engine with your cam can handle the 1.6 ratio?

Ya I definitely understand where you are coming from. Most the guys who are running a stock cam aren't looking for that type of performance anyway. But it would be a mod that some might consider instead of a cam swap because they don't have to take stuff apart quite as far as with a cam swap. I do think both together would perform well though.

Stock 7.3 rockers break the valve tips, and wear the guides crooked. Even at low RPM. They also have poor oiling characteristics.

For someone rebuilding an IDI and wanting it to "last forever" the roller rockers could be a cheap investment.

For someone with an IDI wanting to get more "performance", yes there is better things to spend that $450 on than roller rockers.

Sounds good to me! If I run typ4's torque cam, would I want to keep the stock 1.5 ratio or something else? Let me know if we get a pool going for that group rate (if they fit...) I'm interested.
