Well long story short, but Saturday I filled my F350 up, since Monday I had to drive from Charlotte, NC to Asheville and then back in the same day around 134.8 miles one way for military training.
During lunch break I didn't go out and filled the tank up with my 5 gallon military fuel can, which brought my fuel level back up to the F level. When I got relased headed back the Charlotte, then when I got close to the house I looked at the lie-o-meter guage on the upper guage.
Well I filled the truck up this morning and then did the hand written equation to figure out my MPG, well I got a suprising 20.77 MPG.
I use Diesel Klien in both the main fuel tank and the 5 gallon can. I use to use the bottle that treats 40 gallons, but since I am using both the main tank and the 5 gallon can I use the bottle that treats 100 gallon tank, I know that I might be over treating my tank.
Wow thats great whats the trick? I would love to see that kind of MPG. Did you have a 50 mile an hour tail wind. LOL Seriously I would like to know your setup, I would like to get even close to that.

Well I change my oil around every 3 to 5k miles with Rotella 5W-40. When I get around 3/4 of a tank I put my 5 gallon fuel can in which brings it back up to around the F mark.
Of course mainly on the way up I was going up a mountain, but on the the way back down I was letting off the gas and watching my CTS and one of the items I was looking at was IPR and especially going down hill I was showing 0.00, which what I've read is like running Tow Haul mode and cuts the fuel flow. Most of the driving was on highways, so especially when I got to smooth (except for very small hills) I had the cruse control running.
Most of the mountain driving was ok, especially one spot when it was a 7% drop for 3 miles, so during all of that area I wasn't holding the gas pedel down and not using breaks, even though I got behind a tractor trailer who was having to hit his J-Break so badly that he was smoking his tires, but I was able to go around him and continue down hill driving.
I've driven from FL to NC several times since getting my
"new to me" Ex in Oct 2010. I've gotten 18.5 to 21.2 MPG on
those trips going 72 MPH with cruise (dash shows 75 MPH, but
the ODBII info states 72MPH).
