over head "trip computer" not working
I bought myself and 03 F250 crewcab 6.0 with 174K miles, 4" Rancho suspension lift and 20" FX4 rims a couple weeks ago and am slowly and expensively making my way thru the painstaking process of bulletproofing this truck to make sure, within some reason, that it'll last me for the next 10 years or more. Other then everything else I'm doing to it there are just some little things that I haven't been able to or, most likely, over looked on here. 1 thing that really bugs me is the "trip computer" in the over head console doesn't work. Any Ideas on why it wouldn't and ways I can trouble shoot what the problem may be. Just for clarity when I say it doesn't work I mean it does not display anything, no lights come on past the button back lights when driving at night. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And of course suggestions are always helpful. Thanks guys

Very common and very easy to fix. I've had mine done twice it was so easy! Anyway, here's a link to the best thread on this fix:

Be sure to click on the red links on post #4 of that thread for excellent pictures of what you want to do. Those resistors are tiny, so I had the electrician where I work do it for me, but any good electrical shop in your area can do it also.
