hi
got 2002 f-250 and the back up light stays on. i checked relays, fuses and changed the the sensor on the transmission. any ideas?

 

You wouldn't be talking about the cargo light in the back of the cab by chance? That is turned on manually via the dimmer switch for the instrument cluster. If it is the backup lights, it sounds like something is triggering the relay. You might start by checking the switch in the steering column.

 

You cant turn the cargo light on with the dimmer switch pre 2005 Only way to turn that on is open the door...

 

its the back up lights that stay on not the cargo light. i changed the switch .its the range control sensor on the tranny
