Hey guys, well after months of working on her to get her going again i finally got my 77 flareside f100 ranger custom, on the road. We had to replace the starter solenoid, the fuel tank and lines, re-time it, and adjust and clean the carb. I still need to find some new rubber for her but she is driving pretty good. However, i did find one problem i hope cures itself soon. When i accelerate she smokes A mechanic friend told me if i drive her easy and add some oil additives that the rings may reseat themselves and she will be fine. she only has just over 13000 miles on the motor since the rebuild but it has sat for close to 6 or 7 years. Anyways i just cant wait to get home on the weekends and drive her some. il upload some pics this weekend after i get a chance to give her a bath.
