Glow Plugs or GPCM?

Anything under 50 degrees and it takes my truck about 30 tries for it to start. If its plugged in she'll start right up no matter what temp. I did pull a po683 but i just wanted to be sure to either replace to glow plugs or GPCM before i start throwing money at the rig. BTW its an 02 Excursion limited

Most likely the GPCM. Clay has them for about the best price out there.

You thinking that the GPCM isnt sending power to the plugs?

If the module has failed it won't.

Verify the glow plug resistance at the VC Gasket connector. That will tell you if the GP's are good or not.

Its most likely the GPCM. They fail internally. Thankfully, its pretty easy to replace and we get an SES light when they go bad so it makes diagnostics easier.

Have Clay bring it to my house on April 14 and you can save the shipping cost.
