glow plugs
I have about 78K on my 2000 psd and still have the original glow plugs. I would guess the life of a glow plug is more dependent on the number of starts not mileage. I just replace the GPR and all the glow plugs test good. My question is should I just bite the bullet and get the glow plugs replaced? Seems to start fine, but I live in Wyoming and would rather not get stranded somewhere because my glow plugs went bad. Also, is a 1500kw generator big enough to activate the engine block heater?
Thanks in advance, Chad

Okay, first opinion, if it aint broke, dont fix it... maybe start sving up, but if your resistance checks were good, dont worry about it, if you want to keep checking them to see if they are breaking down, thats fine, but now you run the risk of breaking the plug. my .02.
to figure out what wattage, take you meter and measure the resistance between the two prong ( hot/neutral), divide that into 120 SQUARED ( 14400 ), that should give you the wattage. Good luck in your decision, and enjoy your winter!!!
