I thought the future was $8.00 to $9.00 dollars a gallon according to Energy Sec. Chu maybe higher?
I will not complain at this time about the price of diesel.....in 2008 I paid $4.75 a gallon. That year my fuel bill was almost $ 15,000 .....I'am paying about 3.85 for a gallon in my area.....as for the Energy Sec......at this time he does not own a car at this time......so he could care less about the price of fuel. Let us all hope that with this being a election year.....we will see a change...
$3.99 here and has been this way for two weeks at least.
I have never seen that high of a price gap from gasoline to diesel around here.
That fuel station is insane.
I have not done this for awhile ...
1.37900 (Canadian dollars per litre) = 5.2611127 U.S. dollars per US gallon.
That's what I paid tonight in Chilliwack BC (cheaper then the Greater Vancouver Area!)
Makes me really glad the last time I had wage negotiations, I negotiated a small raise and all my fuel paid by the company. It's like whenever fuel prices go up ... I get a raise.
Since the recent run up in gas price, I've seen diesel at most places around here is actually less than premium gas. Haven't seen that in a long time.
Remember the good old days when diesel was significantly cheaper than regular gas?
I remember when diesel was 13 cents a gallon. I could fill dads pickup with 60 gallons of gas for $18 bucks.
I about had a stroke when I filled our boat with almost 50 gallons of gas and it was something like 64 cents a gallon. When diesel hit $1.00, I considered selling my Pete and getting out of the trucking business. Held on for a few more years though.
I just filled both my pickups last week, close to 70 gallons, it was not cheap!
I saw as high as 4.09 here in Biloxi. I drove 550 miles to get here but set my cruise at 65 instead of my normal 72. I averaged 12.7 mpg pulling a tall 18' enclosed trailer, which is an improvement of almost 2 mpg. I hate slowing down but it looks like I will have to this summer.
just got back from commifornia, yep gas prices were about a whole $$$$ more than here in utah. I really don't get why its so much more expensive there.
