My buddy with an 06 did this about a month ago, put a bead of the black RTV where the trans meets the engine, and his is still completely oil free. As you can see mine is covered in oil except where i cleaned it, and always had a drip ready to fall. Driven 20 miles and so far so good lol
Also fixed my overhead display

On the 04 trucks and up I believe they relocated the rubber to under the bracket where it attaches to the valve cove area, I bought them thinking I was missing them as we'll, but there was no way to make them work with the stock bolts

Cleaned up the turbo and EGR valve. Took 50 minutes to remove the turbo, one hour to take apart and cleane the unison and mating surface, about 2 hours to re-install.
This is what I did , took it from Utube:
I only took the intercooler tube out, disconnected the alternator at the battery connection, pulled the air filter assembly as a unit (filter indicator out, MAF disconnected), disconnected the oil in tube at the turbo, VGT connection, pulled the turbo quite easily. This is my second time and I had plenty of high heat antiseize and I used some PB blaster first. There is really no need to remove the alternator or anything else.
For re-install, it was a bit of a struggle to install the Y pipe cause I did not loosen it, but it finaly went in like wooosshhh, it felt in place. I was told to knock on the clamp and tubing while torquing the clamps on the up and down tube to better setting of the clamps.

There was no issues, just did some preventive maintenance before I do the 4 corners of USA this summer/fall.
This site gives you some excellent pictures of the turbo taken apart. This time I only did the unison ring, hot side of the turbo.

Before you tow with them pressurize the system with some weight on them. To make sure you don't have any leaks. I just got done installing mine and right before a big trip I did the test and the leaked. Ended up being the in-cab dump valve that was improper. It saved me a lot of grief and unecessary running of the compressor to keep 5 lbs in them
