Well the project truck got the parking brake installed.
I started some work on the harness so I can move the sets. I want my
heated seats back. Nothing like a warm seat when your back is hurting.

They're certainly more efficient - much better than heating the air around you and hope some of it sticks 😀
A friend had a nice new BMW with heated seats and felt a bit warm one day. Turned out there was a problem and he got his trousers (but nothing else) burnt 🙉

There is that.
With our trucks you can just pull the master relay for the seats under the driver seal.
But I sure would not want to have toasted buns.

Haven't driven the truck in the last two weeks so I checked to make sure a rat didn't make a home in the compartment. Looks like my barn cat has been doing her job keeping them out.

Spent this evening doing some low stress stuff.
I got my wire pin tools out and built up the 2 connectors in the project truck for the non heated seats.
Did a little harness wrapping while I was at it. I also verified that I had the correct wires for what I
wanted to get done. Got to love the Fox and Hound wire tracing type tools. Tomorrow I will do the nasty
and cut 2 wires and cap the ends off. The reason is one is hot all the time and the other is hot in run.

Also I did check and the fuses for the heated seat power already in the fuse box. One would think that
Ford being so cheap would of pulled that little sucker out and saved a whole 1/100 of ¢ but no they left it in
place. Saved me digging I guess.

I'm in the South Parking Lot of the Pentagon (iPad, AT&T) ready to saddle up for RT, but once I get home I'm going to start the tear down on the non-bulletproofed 6.0L that has managed to make it past 200K --- it's time (deltas getting a little squirrely)..........

Normally, I'd lift the cab, but this time I'm going to weld up a new lift plate and take it out the front end....................dying to try out my new Dynasty from Miller.............own 12 welders (all colors, some ancient), but really like the Blue Stuff...................

Who says I’m kidding ........ Maybe, maybe not. One never knows on the Internet.

We used them and muffs all the time at work. We had EHS rules for noise exposure, and since we were doing vehicle testing for brake noise, we had a full range of noise analyzers, from simple to very complex. So when you have an EHS policy For such, we could get detailed and had results for air compressor, impact guns, tire machine, the loudest three things, btw.

I wish we were still active as it would be real easy to do a very detailed in vehicle test.

I was working on a house project when I noticed a wet spot where the pickup was parked. Son of a... Did some looking, it looked like the degas bottle developed a crack. Whew. So a quick trip to the parts store for some anti-freeze and new coolant recovery tank. The parts run took longer than the swap. The temps yesterday and today were fine, and the deltas were close for me.

I was happy it looks like a simple fix.

Anyway my today work got me to the point where the carpet is back in place in the project truck and I have the harness converted to a non-heated seat.
Part of the process was planning the path that the 2 wires I have to add will take going up the side with the harness.

Now the question is sense I have to lift the front half of the carpet in the new teuck do I just swap it with the other truck? I have some spots that I am
not sure will clean up in the new truck and the wet dog STINK I get every now and then.

Sort of a personal rule. No hats on around turbines or propellers.
Two bad things can happen. It can get sucked in or blown off and you try to catch is
and in the process cross the propellor path. Bad JUJU how ever you look at it.
