So what did you do to your 6.0L today?
Looks like it has some dust abrasion, but not real bad. Anything more then real fine and you would leading edge nicking. IMO, for what it’s worth, probably a stock filter at 500k level kind of conditioning, The bearings though would be more oil condition prone. If the guy was bab at maintenance, the bearings may be worn. If he choose poorly for an air cleaner element, then the bearing should be OK.
If you’ve got a better turbo in wait, I’d do it. It may be a fine runner, but it doesn’t represent your care.

The guy had one of the see through gauze type filters on it that came off right after it hit the driveway.
The turbo on my 220K mile truck looks nothing like this one when it comes to the compressor.
Clean and sharp. You know if I had been handed a compressor assembly that looked like that one it
would of gotten a reject for excessive erosion. But then we are not flying thesis things. We are just spinning
them very fast and that can be just as much of an issue.
Mine was clean too Sean. But I’ve got the stock filter in what I consider a low dust environment, so I think my history has been more towards the lower end of the service environment. It sounds like you are too. I really don’t get the desire to improve over stock unless you in a higher rpm situation.
From what I understand about it.The well engineered ones are good. The thing is the stuff that is not so well down lest dust past the filter.
One quick test of the filter after it's been in is check for dust in the duct work and also see if you can see light through the filter.
When I say light I mean sharp pin points not the diffused light you would get like when you hold up paper between you and a light.
Also a lot of the crap stuff is more HOT air intakes because they pull air from under the hood in the bay.
Our trucks in stock form already have a cold air intake.

Good luck on the purchase,

Per4mance, I sure hope the numbers come together for you. Great find.
Had a great Saturday with my middle grandson that has the 2005 f350. He installed a new positive battery cable, alternator, changed oil, oil filter and fuel filters. I pointed out what he needed to undo and how to proceed, stepped back and piddled on my truck and he did it all. Best time came when we finished as he said Granddaddy this was a good day, I love spending time with you in the shop. Yea my head swelled up

got the wiring done... tried to give the winch a little test.. but wouldnt work now i gotta figure out why... put a volt meter on it getting 13.5-14v to the winch.. not so good at figuring out amps.. all i got is a cheapie HF volt meter.. doubt thats good enough for that... OM said sometimes the solenoids stick.. might try hooking my jump box up to the winch to see if thatll get it going..
