Pulled the camper off (probably stay off for a while ), lowered bag and rear tire pressures, set shocks down to #2 dampening. Ready to tow the horse trailer up to the lake! We're taking the MH too, so livin' in comfort this trip
Changed my oil/oil filter and fuel filters. So it was my turn to cuss the guy who decided where the HFCM should be located.
One easy way to avoid some of the mess is use a oblong funnel stuffed between the front drive shaft and the frame right under the drain. That
way you can drain the separator without getting to use a new cologne that smells like diesel. The rear cap is a but more work with some rags
on the transfer case skid plate. But if you have drained the separator you do get a lot less dribbling out.

That hold did not show up until after I had gotten the F350. Seems that the drain grate and box don't hold up well to a 8,000Lb truck.
I never had a crack with the little Ranger or the car. So now I get to dig the box out and put in a cement one with a steel drain grate
on it. That or I have a puddle on the driveway with any heavy rains and when washing the truck.
There's almost no avoiding it. Unless you start removing drive shafts and fuel lines. I saw a thread here where somebody relocated the whole hfcm.
It wasn't a thread, but something I did about a decade ago and tease Scott about on most opportunities. I had a photo album about it on my Facebook page but Facebook seems to have dropped a couple of my personal and TMT photo albums.
I can put something together tonight about what to do if you really want to do it. You will get a bath modding the lines, but it's the last bath you'll ever get (with diesel and a HFCM). There's a cheap and an expensive way. I went more expensive then I would today. But if your doing this it's also a good time to drop the tank and do a few other things.
Harpoon the tank for more fuel capacity
Replace a partially corroded brake line along the rail that will bite you if you are in a high humidity/rust belt location.
