White Smoke
She took it to the Ford dealership and of course, they couldn't find anything. Because the fuel filters needed to be changed, we had that done. She picked up the truck and wasn't even 5 miles away when it blew white smoke again. She said it wasn't in regen mode. And she said she wasn't accelerating at the time - she said she was doing about 45 mph. Of course, she called the dealership and it goes back to the shop on Monday. The dealership did say that the coolant level appeared normal.
We drove it today and it blew white smoke quite a bit. She was driving and noticed it occurred more between 20 and 45 mph. And it didn't always occur when the regen light came on. She would be driving and it would start smoking or she would be starting from a dead stop.
Oh, when we got home, I noticed oil on the ground where the truck is parked.
Suggestions? Thanks,
When cold mark the line on the degas bottle so they know how much you have lost.
You need to check after a cold soak of about 8 hours imho. This sounds EGR related. They should pressure test the coolers.
