2005 Explorer tail light replacement

I havea burned out turn signal bulb. I am not sure how to change it. Do I remove he panels inside or can it be reached from below, outside? . it is still cold out so laying on he ground for an hour is not my first choice. I want to get it done quick.

thanx in advance

I think you'll find that if you open the rear liftgate there will be a couple of screws for each rear tail light lens assembly. If you remove the screws, then tug on the assembly, it will unsnap from the body. I don't recall though if you need to pull the assembly towards the center or towards the rear. I think you need to pull it towards the center.

Thanks. Once it was daylight and not snowing, it made sense. The vehicle is dark blue and the screww headswere not too visible at night. All fixed.
