Picking up my truck today for a grand total of 890.00
Replaced stc fitting, replaced the blue flex hose that comes out of turbo on passenger side, and a coolant hose, and checked the rail orings.
He suggests changing out coolant.
Can't wait to drive it, he says I really shouldn't need xtra guages with the engine stock. THOUGHTS?? If so...which ones?
Is that something you leave plugged in while driving as well as scanning issues? Does it plug into the computer (obd) plug or does it need to be wired in?
Thanks Jerky
OBDII plug..... leave it in, take it out.... no problem. Yes, you do have to program in the spwecial codes you want. All available here or on the ScanGauge website.

ECT/EOT split, FICM voltage, engine voltage, and fuel pressure are musts. Fuel pressure can suck and the FICM will eventually die, might as well catch them before they take the injectors out with them. Watch the voltage so the alt/batts don't take out the FICM. Watch your temps so the EGR cooler doesn't crack and spill coolant into the intake. All that happens stock.
Maybe you have the Flash that Illuminates the CEL when the EOT vs ECT delta is out IDK
But Im with everyone eles get a scangaugeII going lots better to watch some things then wait for something to totaly Fail and Take Multiple things with it
Shure would suck to pop an egr cooler and dump coolant into the cylinders and lift the heads
Without any gauges NO Problem you just need a Bigger Bank Account
In time the SGII will pay for itself
I caught my alternator going out If I didnt have the SGII it could have taken FICM out and even Injectors the price could have doubled or tripled really fast
Is this an independant shop that told you dont worrey about gauges
