I was going to rebuild my stock turbo & found pitting on the vanes & the exhaust compressor blades have parts missing!. Is this turbo worth cleaning, keeping as a back-up? Thanks Curt/forums/picture.php?albumid=20877&pictureid=94933[/IMG]
He already has the powermax installed on his truck, the question he is asking is not whether or not he needs a new one, it was if he should clean this one up to keep as a back-up or not. At least that was my interpretation

Thanks for the input, yes i have the power max turbo & was going to sell this one, but it sounds like it needs some attention! Those rebuild parts are affordable but would i need any special tools to rebuild it? Core to a turbo re builder?

The turbine wheel is damaged beyond any kind of repair and would need replaced in addition to the rebuild kit.
