For quite a while now I've suspected my hpop was a bit under the weather. Just a few seconds of wide open throttle with my superchips tuner would throw the check engine light. the o rings on the hpop have started to leak, the easy ones to change, I'm not sure about the "non serviceable plug" yet, so today, to confirm my suspicions, I hooked up my solus scantool to the truck and did some wide open throttle runs and sure enough its maximum output on the runs was right around 1800 psi. I did at one time, when letting off see it hit 2600 psi. But that was for a split second, did another run and never saw it again. i'd like to pull the pump and get it remade into a t-500 but I really can't be without the truck for a long amount of time. I also don't have the 200 dollars to throw down for a core charge right now. So I'm in a bit of a pickle, I guess I should just tough it out and wait for the extra 200 dollars but it bugs the heck out of me to know my hpop is weak.
What was the IPR duty cycle at that psi? Was the code a 1211? Where are you located? It seems as though you are maybe getting a feeler for someone with a pump you could send as a core? If so I have a couple extras, maybe I could help...
I'm not exactly sure what the ipr duty cycle was, I can run another test tomorrow and pay attention to that. the code 1211 is constantly popping up though. I'm located in northern new york, what is a feeler if you don't mind me asking? I certainly do appreciate your help sir. for sure.
LOL. "Putting a feeler out" is southern talk for asking someone for something without actually saying it. He is suggesting you are searching for someone with a HPOP you could borrow as a core. I grew up in Arkansas, so I am certified to translate
Lol. No kidding, you learn something every day. I certainly didn't mean to impose though. But yes, that would be absolutely fantastic. Then I can kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of my oil leaks and get rid of my half dead hpop. I'll send you a pm sir.
